The IAFOR Research Centre (IRC) at the
Osaka School of International Public Policy (OSIPP) is pleased to announce the publication of Public Health in Asia during the COVID-19 Pandemic: Global Health Governance, Migrant Labour, and International Health Crisis (Amsterdam University Press, 2022), the result of a joint project with the
Leiden Asia Centre and the
Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS)
Regional Economic Programme Asia (SOPAS). The project was spearheaded by IRC fellow Anoma van der Veere, with contributions from specialists in the region, including OSIPP professors and researchers, to assess the region’s varied responses to the COVID-19 pandemic in the absence of a clear leadership from the World Health Organisation (WHO). It is available online as an Open Access publication. We hope this publication provides important insights to how Asia coped with the pandemic.
